PG Cooper: Movie Haikus Part Two

Posted: July 23, 2012 by Daniel Simpson (PG Cooper) in Movie Poems

*I was recently part of a Writer’s Craft class. During our poetry unit, we hard to write a variety of poems about any subject of our choosing. Naturally, all of mine were about movies, and I thought I’d share some of them here.

Michael and Fredo

It happened, don’t know how

Though once so close

He’s nothing to him now

The Balled of Donny

At the end felt so sorry

Everytime he spoke

“Shut the fuck up, Donny!”

Time to Die

Feel tired, feel insane

All those moments lost in time

Like tears in rain

You Talkin’ To Me?

New York is in a pickle

Better watch out

Here comes Travis Bickle

The Fall of Henry Hill

It’s over, the end is nigh

My dream dies on

The last day of the wiseguy

The Ballad of the Xenomorph

The Nostromo, a hard flight

With an alien

Who mostly comes out at night
