We Need YOUR Questions

Posted: December 11, 2012 by Daniel Simpson (PG Cooper) in Uncategorized

How’s it going, folks? PG Cooper here, and I have a request. In a week or so, HT Schuyler and I will be recording an audio show. We’re planning a Q and A show, and we need people to send in questions. So please, ask us your film related questions and we’ll answer them on our show. The success of our show relies heavily on the questions asked, so please don’t hesitate. So again, please comment with your film related questions. If you don’t want to do that, you can tweet them to me, write on our facebook page , or email me (pgcooper1939@gmail.com). Feel free to ask as many questions as you wish. Thanks!

What “Classic” movie(s) do you not understand the appeal of the most and why didn’t they work for you?

  2. I’ve a few questions (assuming you mean like trivia questions?):

    1. What “sacred item” is featured in the beginning of The Gods Must Be Crazy?

    2. What was the last film to earn VHS circulation?

    3. In what year did Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze first collaborate?

    4. If you watch the original Friday the 13th, you’ll often hear echoed breathing during the killer’s perspective shots. However, this echoed audio snippet is actually part of a repeated line in the movie. What is the full line?

    5. What film holds the first recorded utterance of the “f” bomb?

We were actually hoping for questions revolving around our opinions and thoughts. Those are some good questions though, we’ll do our best to answer em. I know two of these but that’s it.

  3. Oh I can provide even more in that case:

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

Have you ever met any celebrities?

    What’s your favorite movie quote?

Have you ever been kicked out of a movie theater?

Any premise/story you’d love to see made into a movie?

    Biggest Oscar sin?

Have you seen the entire filmography of any director?

    Do you feel lucky?

What releases are you most excited about in 2013?

Don’t know if you’re still interested in questions or not, but…

When a movie is based off of something else, like a book or comic or old TV show…
Do you prefer to have read the book, or to go in blind?
If you go in blind, do you seek out the source material afterwards?
If you go in with some knowledge, do you find that you’re more or less likely to enjoy it?
Have you ever actively avoided a movie, solely based on your exposure (or lack thereof) to the source material?

How much weight to do you give to other people’s reviews (either professional, or other bloggers) when choosing a movie to watch?
Do you find yourself, on average, agreeing with the general opinion (Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, etc.) or do you find more often than not your tastes differ from “The Mainstream”?

Assuming you rewatch movies, what is the coolest thing you’ve ever noticed upon multiple viewings of a movie, that you missed the first time through?

What movie do you wish you could un-see if it were possible? Would you do so because you’d love to watch it for the first time again, or was it so bad you’d do it to regain those 90-180 mins of your life back?

Have you ever gotten into a heated debate over the rules of a fictional monster (zombies, vampires, werewolves, etc)?
