The Oscars announced their nominations this week, and now it’s my turn. 2012 was a great year and there’s a lot of great things worth honouring. 1. someone who saw Sinister with HT says:

Sinister not included under Best Horror?

  2. Spikor says:

There’s a lot here I’d agree with, and a lot I’d disagree with. The Raid definitely deserves as much praise as you can give it, without giving it Best Action, since that should be The Avengers. The only movie I saw in your Best Actor category was Prometheus, and Fassbender was the only enjoyable part of it. 21 Jump Street was hilarious, but Whedon’s Avengers trumps it in Adapted Screenplay… but I haven’t seen the other three.

Batman deserves nothing this year, in my opinion, but I understand it’s in a bit of the minority there.

Great list of noms. Interested to see what wins, and whether or not I’ll have actually seen it.

  3. le0pard13 says:
